Reflective Practice

Reflective practice is aimed at existing MHFAiders/ Champions. Regular face to face or online opportunity to reflect on actions and events in the role. Supporting people can be difficult and your own wellbeing should always be a priority.

Gender-Inclusive | Diversity | Inclusion

Using gender-inclusive language makes a big difference in a workplace and/or training environment. It makes everyone feel welcome, no matter their identity and it sets an example that gender-inclusive language is the norm and that no one should assume anything about someone without asking first. We shouldn’t have to leave parts of our identity behind - be that our cultural or ethnic background, sexuality, or health – in any workplace or training environment. It’s important to remember that by putting diversity and inclusion at the centre of mental health and wellbeing, we can create a culture built on respect and collaboration, where everyone can be themselves.

I have attended many, many, many training courses over the years and can honestly say I have never been so engaged with the material - I believe this was largely down to the engaging and passionate delivery of the course. I have found this LIFE CHANGING and I think it is so rare to feel like this as a result of a training course. Thank You Lucy so much.

Mental Health First Aid - Siemens

This continuing professional development (CPD) course has been jointly developed by The Open University and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy as a response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The course is a primer on working online as a counsellor or psychotherapist at a time when face-to-face therapy is neither possible nor safe.

Boosted knowledge and confidence to support counsellors, psychotherapists and students to offer technology-based counselling safely and effectively.

Lucy handled the course professionally and efficiently. Lucy had time for and was empathetic to all course learners. Guidance and help were given to the group or individuals. Lucy devoted time and effort to provide answers to help those who needed extra support.
